After Johans remarkable performance, securing the 3rd position in the Global Champions Tour Grand Prix of Paris, he qualified to participate in the GCT Super Grand Prix in Riyadh! 

Although he faced tough competition from some of the best riders in the world, Johan and Harwich  delivered a strong performance and it was a highly valuable experience that they will carry forward! 💪🏼

This achievement follows in the footsteps of  Geir, who also qualified for the Olympic final in the previous Games in Tokyo. 

Despite facing tough challenges in the final round, the duo showcased incredible skill and determination, making their Olympic debut one to remember.

Johan was born into a horse-loving family, and naturally, his interest in equestrian sports was awakened early on.

However, his passion for sports wasn't confined to the equestrian arena alone. Until the age of around 13, Johan showcased exceptional talent as a skier, ranking among the best in his age group across Norway. 

// "I was more interested in football and skiing back then, but at one point, I had to make a decision, and I chose riding."

Ever since then, he has been representing the Norwegian showjumping team. Looking back on this decision, he confidently states that he will never regret choosing full commitment to the equestrian sport.

Johan's journey so far, has been marked by grit and determination. He understands that there's no easy path to success and that each stride towards excellence requires perseverance and endless effort as he continues to strive to achieve his goals.

This weekend team Gullik was to be found in Leipzig for the first show of the season. Both Geir and Victoria did super rounds in the World Cup, which puts Victoria still in a strong 12th position of the current World Cup standings! 

Saturday night Victoria and Johan also showed good results in the six bar class. Victoria and Exquise Lulu ended 5th, on the 1.80 cm fence.  Johan and Ambrosio d'Alcy went all the way to the top of the 1.95 cm fence and won the class together with 2 other competitors.

Johan and 7 y/o Lefuson VDL also took the 4th position in Sundays 7 y/o final.

Johan, Mylord Myles and Equine America It's me des Saules is currently competing in sunny Wellington ☀️ So far, they have showed good results, and the two 9 year olds have gained lots of experience by doing some great rounds!

Winter Equestrian Festival

This weekend Johan has been competing in Ocala, US with his two 9 year olds with fantastic results! 

Mylord Myles started off the weekend with a 6th position in the CSI4*-W 1.55 m World Cup qualifying class at the Live Oak International on Friday. Myles was also placed 4th in the 100,000$ Grand Prix of HITS Ocala Sunday morning! Sunday afternoon Johan together with Equine America It's me des Saules topped of the weekend with an amazing 5th position in the 4* World Cup class!

Geir and Johan showed some great results at the Falsterbo Horse Show last week! Geir and Quatro did a super clear round in Saturdays 5* 1.50m class. 

Johan and Mylord Myles gave great effort in the big Falsterbo Derby, with Myles doing all the courses difficulties - and the Six-bar class, where they were placed 4th! Johan also secured the qualification for the Europeans with an amazing round individually in the Nations Cup 1.60m class on Harwich VDL. 

7 year old Lolita ES has done some super clear round the past two weeks both in Valkenswaard and now in Falsterbo, where she was placed 5th in the 1.40m7y/o Final 


Falsterbo Horse Show - Qualified for the Europeans

This weekend Johan stood on top of the podium as a winner of the Norwegian Championship 2023 🥇 For the first time, he lifted the prestigious King's Trophy, after his fantastic performance together with Harwich VDL.

The trophy is a symbol of excellence and recognition, and is considered one of the highest honors an athlete can receive in Norway. It is given to outstanding athletes who achieve remarkable performances in various Norwegian sports championships 🏆

Norwegian Championship at home soil in Drammen

Johan and Victoria has been competing individually representing Norway in the European Championship this week. Johans remarkable performance together with Harwich VDL led him all the way to sundays finals where they made it to a well deserved Top 20 finish! 

Victoria and Equine America Papa Roach also deliverd some impressive results! 🌟

The world cup season kicked off at homeground in Oslo this weekend! Team Gullik was lined up in the startfield where all 3 of them delivered some strong rounds during the weekend! 

Johan and Myles started off with a win the 5* 1.40 m class Friday afternoon. Later the same day, Victoria and Papa Roach took the 8th posistion in Fridays 5* 1.50 m speed class 💨

Sunday it was time for the first LEG of the World cup season where Geir and Quatro rode to a double clear and was placed 9th! Impressive 👏🏼

Johan and Harwich VDL showed off two impressive clear round in Verona this week. They made it to a 7th position and collected 10 strong points in the World Cup standings! Well done ⭐️

This past weekend, Johan and Geir has been competing at the 5* World Cup in Gothenburg. 

7 year old Rose of Ballmore showed some impressive rounds in the Lövsta Future Challenge for young horses, facing tough competition from other talented youngsters. They secured a strong 3rd position in Sundays Lövsta Future Final ⭐️ 

In Saturday's 5* Grand Prix, both Geir and Johan were in the start field. Geir and Quatro did a great round, but they had to see two poles fall to the ground. Johan and 10 y/o Myles also showed a super round with just one very unlucky pole down in Myles' 3rd ever 5* Grand Prix. 

Sunday's World Cup class featured a strong field of participants. Johan and Equine America Harwich   knows how to impress the Swedish audience in a full seated Scandinavium with a perfect clear round, that lead them on to the jump off! They topped off the weekend with a great 7th posistion and another 10 World Cup points!

Meanwhile, Victoria finished off their 3rd and last week in Sunshine Tour where she's been busy showing 6 and 7 year old youngsters and participated the CSI 4* classes. 🙌🏼 She also got to celebrate her 32nd birthday together with her team in a sunny Spain ☀️🎂

World Cup Gothenburg and finishing off 3 weeks in Sunshine Tour

This upcoming season Johan will participate in the Global Champions League representing the home team Scandinavian Vikings! The first shows to go for Johan will be Miami and Mexico, where he will bring Equine America Harwich VDL and Mylord Myles 🏝️

This will be Johan's team debut in the GCL. But, it's not the first time that Johan will be seen in the GCT and GCL 5* competitions . Back in 2020, he was representing the Cannes Stars, where he got to compete individually at the GCT show in Doha, just before Covid shut down the party...

With a start field of strong teams, we are excited to see what this season will bring for the Vikings! 💪🏼

This weekend Johan and Harwich delivered an exceptional round and secured an impressive third place in the prestigious Global Champions Tour Grand Prix of Paris! Facing world-class competition, the duo delivered a stunning performance with a great clear round. Into the jump-off, there was four competitors fighting for the podium places. Johan and Harwich's exceptional partnership lead them into a quick jump off, just fast enough to a podium finish! 

This marks the best-ever result by a Norwegian rider in this type of competition. Big congratulations to Johan and Harwich on this historic achievement! 🌟

Global Champions Tour - Podium in Paris

At this time of the year it's time for the yearly international competitions on homeground in Drammen! Both Geir and Johan has had great success in their classes in the first week of the Spring Tour. 

Johan and 7 year old Rose of Ballmore took the win with impressive 8.14 seconds margin to the 2nd place after a speedy round in the CSI2* 1.30m the first day! 🐎💨 

Geir and Quatro also showed some muscles and speed when he finished on a 5th position in the CSI2* 1.40m!

Geir was also on the top of the podium after a perfect double clear with the 10 yo mare Oh La La van Overis 🥇

In Saturdays 2* Grand Prix, Johan and 8 yo Lolita ES impressed with a well deserved win after being the only double clear! This was the first time for Lolita competing at this height, and with great success! 🏆

Geir and Oh La La was unlucky to have a tiny pole down in the first fase - Still leaving them on an 8th position I n the Grand Prix!

Home-win in Drammen for Johan and 8yo Lolita

Johan had a great start to the GCL season in Miami this weekend. In the first team competition on Friday, competing individually, Johan and Mylord Myles showed off an amazing clear round and finished off 6th in the 5* 1.55m class. 

The second round of the team competition, Equine America Harwich and Johan secured a strong clear round for the Scandinavian Vikings, with only one tiny time fault. That lead them to an 8th placing in the 5* 1.60m class. What a debut for Johan on the Vikings! 💪🏼
