Johan was born into a horse-loving family, and naturally, his interest in equestrian sports was awakened early on.

However, his passion for sports wasn't confined to the equestrian arena alone. Until the age of around 13, Johan showcased exceptional talent as a skier, ranking among the best in his age group across Norway. 

// "I was more interested in football and skiing back then, but at one point, I had to make a decision, and I chose riding."

Ever since then, he has been representing the Norwegian showjumping team. Looking back on this decision, he confidently states that he will never regret choosing full commitment to the equestrian sport.

Johan's journey so far, has been marked by grit and determination. He understands that there's no easy path to success and that each stride towards excellence requires perseverance and endless effort as he continues to strive to achieve his goals.

This season Johan will continue representing Scandinavian Vikings, and is ready for the first GCL leg in Doha in the beginning of March! 
After Johans successful individual- and team-performance last year, we're sure that we will continue to see strong results from Johan and his teammates this year! 💪🏼

Johan continues for the Scandinavian Vikings

Johan and Equine America Harwich VDL starts of the new year with a strong 6th placing in the World Cup of Leipzig this weekend! Well done! 🌟

Great start of the new year in Leipzig

After Johans remarkable performance, securing the 3rd position in the Global Champions Tour Grand Prix of Paris, he qualified to participate in the GCT Super Grand Prix in Riyadh! 

Although he faced tough competition from some of the best riders in the world, Johan and Harwich  delivered a strong performance and it was a highly valuable experience that they will carry forward! 💪🏼

Stall Gullik is proud to share that Victoria and her talented horse Mistral van de Vogelzang delivered a fantastic performance in their first-ever Olympic Games, earning a spot in the highly competitive final. This achievement follows in the footsteps of  Geir, who also qualified for the Olympic final in the previous Games in Tokyo. 

Despite facing tough challenges in the final round, the duo showcased incredible skill and determination, making their Olympic debut one to remember.

Victoria and Mistral Qualify for Olympic Final

This weekend Johan and Harwich delivered an exceptional round and secured an impressive third place in the prestigious Global Champions Tour Grand Prix of Paris! Facing world-class competition, the duo delivered a stunning performance with a great clear round. Into the jump-off, there was four competitors fighting for the podium places. Johan and Harwich's exceptional partnership lead them into a quick jump off, just fast enough to a podium finish! 

This marks the best-ever result by a Norwegian rider in this type of competition. Big congratulations to Johan and Harwich on this historic achievement! 🌟

Global Champions Tour - Podium in Paris

We are proud to announce that Victoria together with Mistral van de Vogelzang has been selected to represent Norway in the Olympic Games in Paris this summer! 

The selection has been done by the Olympic Committee and the Norwegian Equestrian Federation, based on Victoria's strong performance with Mistral this season. We are looking forward to see them perform in beautiful surroundings at the Versailles palace, where the olympic equestrian competitions will take place 5.-6. of August.

Victoria selected for the Olympic Games 

At this time of the year it's time for the yearly international competitions on homeground in Drammen! Both Geir and Johan has had great success in their classes in the first week of the Spring Tour. 

Johan and 7 year old Rose of Ballmore took the win with impressive 8.14 seconds margin to the 2nd place after a speedy round in the CSI2* 1.30m the first day! 🐎💨 

Geir and Quatro also showed some muscles and speed when he finished on a 5th position in the CSI2* 1.40m!

Geir was also on the top of the podium after a perfect double clear with the 10 yo mare Oh La La van Overis 🥇

In Saturdays 2* Grand Prix, Johan and 8 yo Lolita ES impressed with a well deserved win after being the only double clear! This was the first time for Lolita competing at this height, and with great success! 🏆

Geir and Oh La La was unlucky to have a tiny pole down in the first fase - Still leaving them on an 8th position I n the Grand Prix!

Home-win in Drammen for Johan and 8yo Lolita

Johan had a great start to the GCL season in Miami this weekend. In the first team competition on Friday, competing individually, Johan and Mylord Myles showed off an amazing clear round and finished off 6th in the 5* 1.55m class. 

The second round of the team competition, Equine America Harwich and Johan secured a strong clear round for the Scandinavian Vikings, with only one tiny time fault. That lead them to an 8th placing in the 5* 1.60m class. What a debut for Johan on the Vikings! 💪🏼 

Great success in the GCL debut for Johan

This upcoming season Johan will participate in the Global Champions League representing the home team Scandinavian Vikings! The first shows to go for Johan will be Miami and Mexico, where he will bring Equine America Harwich VDL and Mylord Myles 🏝️

This will be Johan's team debut in the GCL. But, it's not the first time that Johan will be seen in the GCT and GCL 5* competitions . Back in 2020, he was representing the Cannes Stars, where he got to compete individually at the GCT show in Doha, just before Covid shut down the party...

With a start field of strong teams, we are excited to see what this season will bring for the Vikings! 💪🏼

Johan represents Scandinavian Vikings in the Global Champions League 

This past weekend, Johan and Geir has been competing at the 5* World Cup in Gothenburg. 

7 year old Rose of Ballmore showed some impressive rounds in the Lövsta Future Challenge for young horses, facing tough competition from other talented youngsters. They secured a strong 3rd position in Sundays Lövsta Future Final ⭐️ 

In Saturday's 5* Grand Prix, both Geir and Johan were in the start field. Geir and Quatro did a great round, but they had to see two poles fall to the ground. Johan and 10 y/o Myles also showed a super round with just one very unlucky pole down in Myles' 3rd ever 5* Grand Prix. 

Sunday's World Cup class featured a strong field of participants. Johan and Equine America Harwich   knows how to impress the Swedish audience in a full seated Scandinavium with a perfect clear round, that lead them on to the jump off! They topped off the weekend with a great 7th posistion and another 10 World Cup points!

Meanwhile, Victoria finished off their 3rd and last week in Sunshine Tour where she's been busy showing 6 and 7 year old youngsters and participated the CSI 4* classes. 🙌🏼 She also got to celebrate her 32nd birthday together with her team in a sunny Spain ☀️🎂
